A candidate for the Douglas South by-election says she wants to tackle poverty in her constituency, if elected.
Amy Burns lives in Douglas with her husband and four young children and describes herself a stay-at-home mum.
She came to prominence in a campaign against the privatisation of pre-school nurseries three years ago.
The other three candidates in next month’s South Douglas by-election are Bill Malarkey, Keith Fitton and Kurt Buchholz.
Mrs Burns says her main goal would be to help those in need within her constituency:
