
The Manx Electricity Authority says the power cut in Onchan this morning (Tuesday) was caused by a fault in an underground cable.
The MEA says the 11 kilovolt cable fed around 2,000 homes.
The power went off at around 7.15 am, and was restored shortly after 8am.
The MEA said engineers had isolated the faulty section of cable and would work through the day to fully repair the problem.
Customers were not expected to be affected by the work.
