
The manager and examiner of the English Speaking Board is praising the public speaking ability of students in the Isle of Man.
Wendy Sutcliffe was on the Island to judge the Rotary Club organised Senior Competition, which was won by a team from St Ninian’s.
Tomorrow night the Junior Competition takes place at Arbory School from 6.30pm, pitting eight schools against each other.
Mrs Sutcliffe says the standard on the Island is very high, and a Manx accent isn’t a problem:
