A child behaviour expert says the Isle of Man's key philosophy is helping Manx schools lead the way when it comes to teaching standards.
Alan McLean is the Principal Educational Psychologist for the Glasgow Education Authority, and he is on the Island for a two-day conference organised by the Department of Education.
It's entitled 'Motivated School', a concept developed by Mr Mclean (pictured) in order to boost the motivation of youngsters when it comes to learning.
He believes the aim should be to optimise the teaching environment, while helping pupils towards greater autonomy and self-motivation.
On Talking Heads this lunchtime, he said the Isle of Man was nearly there:

Consultation open on plans to formally recognise the heritage of Douglas Head
Drop-in session to support Isle of Man charities
Fundraiser to keep St John Ambulance emergency fleet on the road
Ayre and Michael MHKs request meeting with commissioners over rates
Data breach impact rises sharply as cyber incidents affect thousands on Isle of Man
