A child behaviour expert says the Isle of Man's key philosophy is helping Manx schools lead the way when it comes to teaching standards.
Alan McLean is the Principal Educational Psychologist for the Glasgow Education Authority, and he is on the Island for a two-day conference organised by the Department of Education.
It's entitled 'Motivated School', a concept developed by Mr Mclean (pictured) in order to boost the motivation of youngsters when it comes to learning.
He believes the aim should be to optimise the teaching environment, while helping pupils towards greater autonomy and self-motivation.
