Death of Alan Oversby confirmed
Pre-TT competitor Alan Oversby has died following an incident in today’s 400cc race (24 May).
It happened on the approach to Ballakeighan on the second lap of the race.
The 68-year-old from Bolton-Le-Sands was an experienced Pre-TT Classic Road Races competitor.
He first competed in 2005 and took his first win the following year.
In total he took 16 victories including two today.
Southern 100 Road Races has extended its ‘deepest sympathy’ to Alan’s wife Julie, his family, team and friends.
