Almost £11,500 was awarded to Manx-registered overseas charities last night (Tuesday), thanks to the efforts of high school and college students in the Isle of Man.
Six teams competed in the final of the 2011 One World Charity Challenge at the Manx Museum.
QEII's winning presentation won a donation of £2,200 for the Send a Cow charity, with an equal sum going to the Grace Third World Fund, championed by the runners-up, a team from the Isle of Man College.
Organiser Professor Hugh Davidson said there were many imaginative presentations this year:

Warning over flare disposal after amenity site fire
Suspended sentence for 56-year-old in cannabis supply case
Owner of a block of flats fined for failing to meet fire safety regulations
Review of taxi fares extended to assess impact of Middle East conflict
