
The Speaker of the House of Keys says a soon to be completed Manx-Irish joint paper on Sellafield will strengthen calls for the plant's closure.
Steve Rodan recently attended the latest British-Irish Inter-Parliamentary Conference as the Tynwald representative.
The paper, which should be finished in the next couple of months, will put pressure on the United Kingdom to maintain its timetable for decommissioning and closing the Sellafield site.
Mr Rodan says the British-Irish body is a great source of support for the Island on this issue:
