Up for BBC Sports Personality of the Year
Triple world superbike champion and Castletown man Jonathan Rea has been included amongst the twelve nominations for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
It was announced last night on the One Show the Island resident would be on the list for the prestigious award.
A social media campaign and petition had been pushing for Rea's achievements to be recognised.
He's the first rider in history to win the world title three years in a row.
