
Authorities have confirmed a prisoner at Jurby has died in Noble’s Hospital.
In a short statement from the Department of Home Affairs, the Isle of Man Prison says an elderly prisoner died in hospital on Wednesday, August 18.
The statement says the man was admitted to hospital the weekend before, needing treatment for what are been described as serious medical conditions.
His family has been informed, and the department says the Coroner of Inquests has been notified and an inquest will be held.
No further details on the man’s identity have yet been released.
