Jurby facility taking action after unexplained cases in north
Visits to the Isle of Man Prison are being suspended this weekend as a precautionary Covid measure.
It's after a small number of unexplained cases of coronavirus were identified in the north of the Island this week.
Acting prison governor Leroy Bonnick says they're following protocols put in place in health and care settings to minimise risk, as a number of prisoners have vulnerabilities.
He says it’s not possible to maintain social distancing during visits, which is why they've been suspended for two days while the 'situation is monitored'.
