
Inmates at the Isle of Man's prison in Jurby have been lending a hand to local charities.
As part of the work and education programmes run at the facility, prisoners often have to undertake routine cleaning and maintenance of the building.
However, under the new initiative they are using their time to help local charities with tasks such as packing Christmas cards for Crossroads Caring for Carers.
Prison education manager Judy Jackson says it gives offenders a chance to give something back to society:
