UK home secretary's 'plans' resurface in new Times report
The UK home secretary is reportedly considering establishing a processing centre for asylum seekers on the Isle of Man.
New details, published by The Times, suggest Priti Patel is weighing up options of overseas facilities to stop migrants making dangerous journeys to the UK across the Channel.
Similar plans were reported in October of last year.
At the time the Manx government said it hadn't heard of such plans and assured the UK would not be able to open a processing centre on the Island without consent.
As of this morning government says that previous comment still stands.
