The Island’s probation and prison services are to merge from April.
However, Home Affairs chiefs have moved to assure staff there’ll be no job losses as part of the reorganisation.
The combined service will come into affect from April, led by prison governor Alison Gomme, with
David Sellick, the Island’s Chief Probation Officer for the past two decades, due to take early retirement.
Home Affairs Minister Adrian Earnshaw believes the change will improve efficiencies and promote cost effectiveness.
