Proclamation ceremony to be 'more solemn' than Tynwald Day

Speaker of House of Keys expects mixture of emotions at Friday's event

There's likely to be a more solemn mood at this Friday's proceedings on Tynwald Hill than we're used to on Tynwald Day.

That's the prediction of Speaker of the House of Keys Juan Watterson.

A second proclamation ceremony will take place later this week to confirm King Charles III's role as Lord of Mann.

Yesterday a proclamation was read by His Excellency Lieutenant Governor Sir John Lorimer during a ceremony at Government House - you can find out more HERE.
