A programme which investigates the campaign to save the Manxman will be aired on BBC television tonight (Wed).
The vessel was launched in 1955 and served as a ferry between the Isle of Man and Liverpool for 20 years.
Since then she has been used as a nightclub in both Preston and Liverpool.
She's currently languishing in poor state of repair at a dock in Sunderland
Campaigners are trying to raise millions of pounds to save the ship, the last passenger-only cross channel ferry left in Europe, and restore her for use as a tourist attraction in Merseyside
They believe there is only a limited amount of time left before the Manxmen will be scrapped.
The programme "Inside Out" airs on BBC at 7.30 this evening.
