Unions currently taking industrial action short of a strike
Unions need to see "significant progress" on a pay deal to avoid a teachers strike.
That's the message from the NASUWT, which joins the NAHT and ASCL in taking industrial action short of a walkout when schools return from their half-term break on Monday.
It means members will still be teaching lessons, but skipping activities such as attending meetings and overseeing after-school clubs.
Local negotiating secretary Geraldine O'Neill insists teachers are keen to avoid a strike:

'Too early to tell' what caused fire
Firefighting foam may have killed fish in Silverburn River
Additional road closure for TT filming ahead of MGP qualifying
'Knives and sharp implements' left outside charity shops
