New measures hoped to 'fast-track' regeneration scheme
You can only drive along Douglas promenade in a northerly direction from this morning (Monday, 15 June), for the foreseeable future.
The Department of Infrastructure has introduced the measure to try and fast-track the regeneration scheme - bringing the target end date forward from August 2021, to the end of March.
Minister Tim Baker admits the new policy is to get the scheme out of the way as quickly as possible:
