Gawne accused of failing to make tough decisions on promenade regeneration
The leader of Douglas Council has likened the surface of the promenade to that of a road in 'war-torn Eastern Europe'.
David Christian has hit out at the department of infrastructure's inability to make tough decisions regarding the area's regeneration.
The latest plans to start work on the prom were pulled after Tynwald approved an amendment to retain the full length of the horse tramway.
Mr Christian says the latest setback has seen frustration turn into anger.
