Restrictions in place due to TT attraction
An area of the Douglas Promenade walkway will close to all vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians today (25 May) to allow for the setup of the TT funfair and safety fencing.
The closure applies from a point opposite Granville Street to the War Memorial and will be in place between 12pm and 11am on Thursday (28 May).
From next Thursday, until 7 June, the area will then be open to pedestrians only between 11am and 11pm for the duration of the funfair.
It will then close again to all traffic - including pedestrians - from 11am on Monday, 8 June until 5pm on Wednesday, 10 June for the dismantling of the fair.
The walkway will also be closed overnight throughout the period when the funfair is shut between 11pm and 11am.
