Clearing work begins ahead of 4 year plan
A major scheme to transform one of the Island's busiest roads officially begins on Monday (17 September).
But the full scale of the works on Douglas Promenade will not get underway in earnest for some months.
Government is still yet to announce its chosen subcontractor, which will carry out the £20 million Promenade refurbishment scheme over four years.
Next week will see Infrastructure workers clearing the roadway to enable the work to begin.
These residents have mixed feelings about the plans.
