Prom works curtail service
The horse tram season will end early this year due to the upcoming works on Douglas Promenade.
The Department of Infrastructure has revealed the final run of the year will take place on Sunday, 21 October, to allow work to begin on the prom.
Traditionally, the 142-year-old service has continued to run until November.
Preparation works ahead of the start of the Douglas Promenade Refurbishment Scheme got underway earlier this month, following years of delays.
It's expected to be finished by 2021, at a cost of £21 million.
But the DoI still hasn't announced when the full project is due to begin - subject to the appointment of a private contractor.
