Southbound vehicles to drive on walkway
The full length of Douglas promenade will reopen to two-way traffic this morning (8 Sep) for the first time in several months.
It will be subject to a 20mph speed limit, with southbound vehicles directed onto the promenade walkway.
The Department of Infrastructure has promised the two-way system will be ready before rush hour today, along with the reopening of Summerhill.
It's after the cycle lane on Glencrutchery Road was removed yesterday (7 Sep), and the road layout at Governor's Dip was changed back to its original state.
Broadway will remain closed until the end of October, allowing Auldyn Construction to finish the works there.
