Police are reminding motorists there is a speed limit on the Douglas promenade walkway, where Christmas parking is currently permitted.
They say they have received a number of complaints and are warning road users the 5 miles an hour limit is enforceable.
Pedestrians leaving and returning to their cars are advised to 'have their wits about them'.
