Programme for Government to tackle issue, says Thomas
Meaningful engagement with local authorities is integral to devolution of government services - that's the view of Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas.
He answered a range of questions on the progress of local government reform during yesterday's House of Keys.
Mr Thomas explained the issue will be addressed in the up-coming 'Programme for Government', expected to be released in detail in January next year.
Speaking to Manx Radio afterwards, the minister said all parties must work together to ensure any future reforms are right for the Island:
