Claims system 'stifles' accountability
The lack of genuine opposition in Manx politics, and the number of Tynwald members in departmental roles is 'perverse' according to the leader of the Manx Green Party.
Andrew Newton's comments came as members of four political parties - David Cretney MLC of the Manx Labour Party; Lawrie Hooper MHK of Liberal Vannin; Mark Kermode of Mec Vannin and Mr Newton featured on Manx Radio's Perspective programme.
They discussed the lack of party politics, and how the system stifled accountability, something Mr Newton highlighted.
