Ideas for preservation of historic buildings discussed
Demolition should be regarded as development by planners to better protect the Island’s historic buildings.
That’s what the Tynwald Committee on Built Heritage has been told today (9 January).
Researcher Dr Andrew Martin, from Oxford University says it would help preserve vernacular structures of all types from being pulled down.
