Vaccine trials for children ongoing
Young people on the Isle of Man will be better protected from Covid-19 if the rest of the population is vaccinated.
That’s the message from the chief minister who is urging people to register saying it will help protect others who can’t have the vaccine.
People under the age of 16 are currently seen as low risk and are not eligible to be vaccinated despite being able to contract and spread the virus.
However Public Health Director Dr Henrietta Ewart says trials are underway and that could change:
