Complaints anti-vax group approached children
Police say a protest organiser has been 'advised' of the law after demonstrators approached children outside school gates.
Leaflets were apparently handed out near Ramsey Grammar School, on Tuesday, by members of an anti-vaccine group.
Ramsey resident Eric told Manx Radio it's not an isolated incident:
Sergeant Steve Gadman is from the Northern Neighbourhood Policing Team and told Manx Radio: "The protest organiser has been advised regarding the recent attendance at the school .
"The right to peaceful protest is allowed on Island and officers have made it clear that should any person commit a criminal offence then they may face prosecution.
"Information regarding legislation covering this type of behaviour has been passed to the organiser to ensure the law is complied with.
"Officers from the Northern Policing Team will continue to monitor the protest and will show a presence at the school to prevent any future issues.”
Ramsey Grammar School has been approached for comment.
