Women no longer being 'exiled' to find help
The MHK who backed the Abortion Reform Bill as it went through the legislative process says it's a proud day not just for him but for the whole Island.
Ramsey MHK Dr Alex Allinson was speaking as he arrived for today's Tynwald ceremony, during which the act will be promulgated.
He said it was an historic day and women will not now be "exiled" to seek help elsewhere:
