Online advert deadline 4 July
Port St Mary Commissioners have begun the hunt for a new full-time clerk.
It comes almost half a year after previous clerk Alastair Hamilton resigned, a decision which has still yet to be explained to the public.
The position has been occupied in that time by deputy clerk Hayley Fargher.
With a rates income of around half a million pounds, the authority is responsible for the village, sheltered housing provided by the Marashen Crescent Housing Committee, and the Southern Civic Amenity Site.
An online advert for the vacancy was posted this week, with the deadline for applications being midday on 4 July 2018.
Chair of the commissioners, Dr Michelle Heywood, says the role requires an active person who's willing to manage a small staff team, as well as the board:
Three-month wait for state pension forecast statements
OFT to investigate possible regulation of funeral directors
"One of the Island's foremost champions of Manx heritage" to receive Tynwald Honour
