Move blamed on costs of operation
Port St Mary Commissioners' kerbside recycling scheme has been stopped with immediate effect.
The local authority says it's because of an unforeseen rise in contractor's costs and a drop in the value of recyclates (the materials sent to a recycling plant to be processed).
It goes on to say there are three bring bank sites in the village, and the Southern Recycling Centre is also available.
