
Port St Mary Lifeboat was called out to a fishing boat on Saturday morning after it got into trouble off the south east coast of the Island.
At about 9.50am, the Port St Mary station received a request from Liverpool Coastguard to go to the aid of the 25ft vessel, which had suffered engine failure and was drifting over rocks.
The station's spokesman, Alex Maddrell says fortunately for the fishing boat, it was nearly high tide at the time (audio file attached):
