A Coxswain from the Royal National Lifeboat Institute says the Port St Mary base is desperate for new recruits.
Speaking on yesterday's Women Today programme, Jenni Kneale said any help would be appreciated, but particularly during normal working hours.
Jenni Kneale recently became one of just four female coxswains in the entire RNLI.
If you think you could help, you're asked to get in touch with Port St Mary lifeboat.
You don't need any maritime background to get involved.
