Welcome scheme launched by business association
Port St Mary Business Association is taking steps to ensure the village is as welcoming as possible to customers and the public.
It's launched a Port St Mary welcome scheme, an initiative where businesses will display a series of badges in their windows to show visitors what 'extra' services are on offer.
These include a range of things such as places to sit, free litter bins, water refill points, dog-friendly areas, and toilets.
Businesses may choose not to advertise every service, but are encouraged to make it clear what help or service they can offer.
Chair of the business association, Dr Michelle Haywood says its hoped the scheme will promote the village's community ethos.
