Chosen as deputy national standard bearer
A Port St Mary woman will have a central role in this year's Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall in November.
Claire McCabe has just returned from Bournemouth, where she took part in the Royal British Legion National Standard Bearers competition, and went up against people from all over Britain and Northern Ireland.
She attained the position of deputy national standard bearer.
Claire was previously a standard bearer for the Royal British Legion Women Section, where she won the UK national title twice.
