
As the freezing temperatures continue, the Department of Infrastructure says it will do what it can to clear icy pavements, but is limited by the scale of its own resources.
While most of the main roads around the Island have been kept open by the department's teams of gritters and snow ploughs, pavements in some places have been treacherous, with lying snow on top of compacted ice.
