A week before a public inquiry into the status of the Langness footpaths is due to begin, the evidence due to go before it is available for inspection.
The evidence, both in favour and against the existence of public footpaths on the Langness Peninsular, and guidance notes governing the inquiry, can be viewed at the Highways Division in the Sea Terminal, the offices of Malew Commissioners and Castletown Library.
The inquiry, arranged by the Department of Transport, will be conducted by Roy Hickey and gets underway at the Mount Murray Hotel a week today (July 20) at 9.30am.
A dispute began in 2005 when Langess resident and Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson angered local ramblers when he closed a section of the path crossing his land to protect his family's privacy.
