
A public election meeting has been called in west Douglas this evening (Tues) on the theme health, education and community care.
On the agenda will be prospects for a new primary school at the old Noble's hospital site in Westmoreland Road and the future use of school buildings at Ballacloan and Fairfield.
There's also a chance to give your views on a range of local and national issues, from pre-schools to mobile phone masts.
The meeting at Fairfield School in Tynwald Street has been called by election candidate Chris Thomas and it is open to all.
It gets underway at 7pm.
The other candidates in the election on 23 May are independents Clive Dawson, Quintin Gill and John Skinner.
