Focus now on 'reducing risk factors'
The Island's Public Health Directorate has released its latest business plan, outlining projects and priorities for health development over the next three years.
The document focuses on 'reducing risk factors' in areas like obesity, oral health, mental health, and drug and alcohol misuse.
Director Public Health Dr Henrietta Ewart says schemes helping the greatest number of people at an affordable cost are vital.
You can view the full plan on the government website.
Dr Ewart told Manx Radio it's pivotal to take a strategic approach to public health:

Amendments to Assisted Dying Bill approved by Tynwald
Indoor play business makes 'very difficult decision' to close
No routine GP appointments Wednesday afternoon
Last chance to submit nominations for local authority by-elections
Rapid review into hospital provides 'clear direction' but there is 'no single solution', says minister
