Details to be provided on proposed refurbishment
Plans to refurbish two busy shopping areas in Castletown will be explained to the public this evening.
A special presentation will take place at the Civic Centre over proposals to revamp Malew Street and Arbory Street.
Failing surfaces will be replaced with concrete paving, disabled parking will be provided, and new lighting columns will be installed if the plans are approved.
The Department of Infrastructure says the 'exciting' designs will 'rejuvenate the town's retail streets', however, some businesses say they feel 'alienated' by the scheme.
Government officers will be on hand to answer any public queries from 6pm tonight.
