Increase agreed with local housing authorities
Public sector rents will rise by 1% from the beginning of April.
The increase announced by the infrastructure department follows consultation with the Island's 15 local housing authorities.
There are over 6,200 properties which will see an average weekly rent increase of between £0.73p and £1.52.
Tenants who have their rental costs met by government as part of their income-assessed social security benefits will not be affected by the change.
