Tynwald President responds to OBE honour
The President of Tynwald, who has been made an OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours list, says "public service is its own reward".
Steve Rodan was one of four Island residents to be recognised, along with Tonia Lushington, Ivor Ramsden and Tony Fox.
Mr Rodan has been given the award for outstanding service and dedication to the Isle of Man.
Government House says since coming to the Island in the 1980s, he has immersed himself in the Island's historic, cultural, charitable and political life.
Mr Rodan said: "this is something wholly unexpected, and I am both honoured and delighted - especially for my family."
"Public service is its own reward, and it has always been a great privilege to serve in Tynwald, an institution I hold most dear."
