The head of the Island’s civil defence volunteers says people should heed warnings from the emergency services over hazards.
His comments follow a weekend of snow and ice which caused disruption across much of the Island.
Martin Blackburn says volunteers helped government staff reach people in difficulties in remote spots, as well as motorists who hit trouble on the roads.
However, he believes some people could have paid more attention to warnings from the police not to venture out:

Warning over flare disposal after amenity site fire
Suspended sentence for 56-year-old in cannabis supply case
Owner of a block of flats fined for failing to meet fire safety regulations
Review of taxi fares extended to assess impact of Middle East conflict
