Appeal after ducks killed by motorist
An incident in which a number of wild birds were 'deliberately' run over has been referred to the police.
It's alleged to have happened last Friday, 3 August, in the area of East Baldwin, when a white van was seen driving at three ducks at high speed, killing them.
A photograph showing the aftermath of the incident has provoked outrage on social media.
The driver has not been identified.
Sandy Huyton, who runs local charity the Manx Hedgehog Conservation Society, witnessed the collison, and was moved to take action.
She says there were insufficient witnesses for the police to take the matter further, but has urged the public to report any incidents involving wildlife.
