The public’s views will be fully taken into account before Department of Infrastructure chiefs decide whether to impose extra parking and bus charges around the Island.
So says the minister, as the DoI considers a number of measures to raise more money from the public.
Charging for parking in central Douglas and for school bus services are among a raft of ideas under consideration as the department tries to find £5 million-worth of savings over a 12-month period.
Phil Gawne, who recently returned to the department, says there has been a strong response.
