Pub landlords are being told to brace themselves for a difficult winter.
It's feared business will suffer because of the smoking ban, with people not wanting to stand in the cold and rain.
Bushy's boss Martin Brunsweiler (pictured) told Manx Radio he feared some pubs may be forced to close:
"You can see already that Heron and Brearley have closed a couple of pubs, purely due to the smoking ban, because they didn't have an area suitable for smokers to go outside.
"That was immediate, but I think as and when the real downturn in trade comes through, which we anticipate will be this winter, then we'll have an idea of which other pubs are going to go to the wall."
