Flood damage repaired
A landmark pub on the TT Course has reopened – just in time for its busiest two weeks of the year.
The Quarterbridge was badly damaged during December’s flooding when the river burst its banks.
Last night, however, it reopened after almost six months of work to restore it and it will now be open throughout the TT festival.
Landlord Kevin O’Dowd says it took a lot of hard work to make sure it’d be ready for an influx of TT visitors:

Consultation open on plans to formally recognise the heritage of Douglas Head
Drop-in session to support Isle of Man charities
Fundraiser to keep St John Ambulance emergency fleet on the road
Ayre and Michael MHKs request meeting with commissioners over rates
Data breach impact rises sharply as cyber incidents affect thousands on Isle of Man
