A bronze statue of Captain John Quilliam has shared a United Kingdom award for public sculpture.
The bust, the work of Bryan Kneale, RA, has won the Marsh Award, alongside Deer Shelter, a series by American artist James Turrell.
Mr Kneale's bust, of the man who steered the Victory into Trafalgar gazing at the horizon, is in the Speaker's Garden at Castle Rushen.
One of those who campaigned for such a monument was Rushen MHK Quintin Gill:

'Essential' that school staff recognise the signs of an allergic reaction
'High' risk of wildfires over the next week
'Come From Away' to continue after cast member injured during rehearsal
'Parks in worse state then when I started' says Peel commissioner
