A 43 year old man has been remanded in custody by the Deputy High Bailiff.
Ian David Raby, care of the prison, is charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent, and assault by wounding.
His advocate Darren Talbot said he was not ready to have Raby committed, as he had just been served with one set of committal papers.
Raby will appear in court again on September 11th.
