Minister quizzed over airport system
The new radar system at the airport still hasn't yet received the approval of the Civil Aviation Authority.
Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne says whilst the system is functioning well, it is "innovative" and "state of the art".
He says when the ystem was first bought it was known receiving full approval may take some time.
He hopes the CAA will grant approval this later in the summer, but in the meantime there are two systems operating and no question of safety being compromised.
